At the 13th Energy Storage International Conference and Expo (ESIE 2025), HiTHIUM Energy Storage made waves by launching its groundbreaking ∞Cell 587Ah lithium-ion (LFP) battery (dimensions: 73.5×286×216mm, W×L×H), alongside the new ∞Power 6.25MWh 2h energy storage system built to house it.
The 587Ah ∞Cell is now being sampled globally as of April 2025, while the 6.25MWh system is set for mass production in the second half of the year.
In a rare industry-first, HiTHIUM Energy Storage partnered with five leading supply chain companies to co-exhibit and align on the physical standard of the 587Ah cell. This marks the first time multiple manufacturers have collectively defined the dimensions of a high-capacity battery, laying the foundation for standardized, scalable deployment across the energy storage sector.
Using AI-driven modeling and multi-objective optimization algorithms, HiTHIUM determined that a 4-string, 8-cluster configuration delivers optimal efficiency for 6MWh+ systems. Within this setup, 587Ah capacity emerged as the most cost-effective and system-efficient solution.
The precise size of 73.5×286×216mm was identified as the optimal form factor to achieve high energy density while maintaining safety, longevity, and affordability. Compared to previous 314Ah cells, the new 587Ah version improves volumetric energy density by 6.5%.
