On April 15, Ganfeng Lithium released a record of its investor relations activities, stating that the company is actively driving the commercialization of solid-state batteries. In the electric vehicle sector, Ganfeng has signed a joint development agreement with a leading international automaker. Development and vehicle testing of high-energy lithium anode batteries are currently underway.
Looking at the development trends in the solid-state battery industry, Ganfeng believes that metal lithium, as the anode material for solid-state batteries, is widely recognized as a long-term technological direction for the industry. The company remains optimistic about the future application of metal lithium products in solid-state battery technology.
Additionally, Ganfeng mentioned that its lithium sulfide for solid-state batteries is primarily supplied to R&D firms and research institutions. The company has already achieved mass production capabilities for lithium sulfide.
When asked about future growth opportunities, Ganfeng highlighted that with the gradual production of upstream resource projects like Cauchari-Olaroz, Mariana, and Goulamina, its self-sufficiency rate will significantly increase in 2025, optimizing costs and ensuring resource security for the company’s growth. Moreover, the company is seizing opportunities in the new energy storage market, focusing on a dual strategy of "user-side distributed storage + grid-side centralized storage" to accelerate the development of its energy storage business. This initiative aims to create a comprehensive energy storage ecosystem that covers the entire industry chain.
