In the era of carbon neutrality goals, the new energy vehicle (NEV) industry has become a key driver of green transformation. On January 8, 2025, Li Auto’s first Climate Change and Carbon Neutrality Annual Forum (2025) was grandly held in Beijing. Sunwoda, as an important supply chain partner of Li Auto, was invited to attend the forum, joining many industry elites to explore the path of green and low-carbon development in the automotive industry.
The forum focused on the automotive industry’s innovative practices and future plans in the fields of climate change and carbon neutrality, attracting widespread attention from industry associations, research institutions, and businesses. Renowned industry experts such as An Qingheng, Chairman of the China Automotive Industry Consulting Committee, and Shi Jianhua, Deputy Secretary-General of the China Electric Vehicle 100 Association, attended the event, highlighting the forum's significant position and far-reaching influence in the industry.
Sunwoda has been deeply involved in the new energy vehicle battery field for many years. With its outstanding technological R&D capabilities and reliable product quality, it has become an indispensable part of Li Auto's green supply chain development. At the forum, Sunwoda representatives actively participated in various discussion and exchange activities, exploring how to achieve energy conservation, emission reduction, and sustainable development throughout the entire lifecycle of automobiles.
During the event, Li Auto introduced the company’s efforts and breakthroughs in the field of carbon neutrality. The company has established an external expert committee for the Climate Change and Carbon Neutrality Working Group to ensure the comprehensive advancement of carbon neutrality efforts through organizational mechanisms. They also launched green supply chain development, green material innovation, and the construction of a circular aluminum chain to drive low-carbon development across the entire industry chain through technological and material innovations. The first batch of green supply chain partners announced included Bosch, Michelin, Sunwoda, and Luxshare Precision.
As one of China’s leading new energy vehicle companies and the first luxury car brand in China to achieve annual sales of over 500,000 units, Li Auto is committed to driving the industry’s green and low-carbon development through technological innovation and contributing to the continuous advancement of China’s automotive industry.
Sunwoda actively supports Li Auto’s green initiatives by continuously investing in the development and production of high-performance, low-energy-consumption batteries. The company is committed to reducing carbon emissions in the battery production process and improving energy efficiency in new energy vehicles through optimized battery management systems(BMS), helping reduce CO2 emissions during vehicle operation.
Looking ahead, Sunwoda will further deepen its collaboration with Li Auto, focusing on the research and application of next-generation battery materials. The aim is to explore battery materials with higher energy density, longer life cycles, and better environmental performance, enhancing battery performance while reducing environmental impact. Sunwoda will strictly follow Li Auto's green supply chain standards, enhance its carbon emission management, optimize energy use and waste disposal processes in production, and ensure a green and low-carbon approach across the entire supply chain—from raw material procurement to product delivery.
The forum not only provided Sunwoda with a platform to connect with the forefront of the industry but also reinforced its commitment to working with Li Auto on the road to green development. As the new energy vehicle industry continues to grow, Sunwoda will continue to leverage its strengths to help Li Auto and the entire industry achieve carbon neutrality, making a solid contribution to global climate change response.
