First 800kWh lifepo4 battery new energy shunting locomotive for urban rail transit

It was learned from the official public account of CRRC Yongji Electric Motor that China's first urban rail transit new energy shunting locomotive, independently developed by the company, has been unveiled at the China Urban rail Transit Green Innovation Conference.

According to reports, the vehicle uses the power type lifepo4 battery as the vehicle traction battery, the battery power is 800kWh, the comprehensive range can reach 120km, and the automatic fire protection system is configured.

Traction motor adopts permanent magnet synchronous motor, which can start and pass 220T on the 50‰ ramp with the passing speed not less than 10km/h. Traction system adopts fully enclosed liquid cooling mode. Compared with air cooling mode, the liquid cooling unit has low noise, good cooling effect and high energy utilization rate.

The vehicle is equipped with energy feedback braking. When the locomotive braking, the braking energy is recycled into electric energy and stored in the battery to improve the driving range and operating efficiency. The vehicle is designed as two independent power battery packs and traction drive system, which can run simultaneously or independently according to the requirements of traction conditions.

Compared with traditional diesel locomotive, new energy locomotive operating costs are low, according to statistics, to complete the same amount of work, new energy locomotive electricity is only 10% of the diesel locomotive oil costs. At the same time, the maintenance of new energy locomotives is simpler and the cost is lower.
