CALB with aviation new energy solutions at the 2024 eVTOL exhibition in Shenzhen

Recently, the 2024 Shenzhen eVTOL Industrial Development Conference and Low-Altitude Economic Exhibition was held at the Shenzhen International Convention and Exhibition Center. CALB made its debut with the new "top current high energy - super flight battery" to boost the development of the low-altitude industry. At the exhibition site, Lin Zuoming, chairman of the Chinese Society of Aeronautics, Shi Jianzhong, former deputy general manager of COMAC and chairman of Shanghai Society of Aeronautics, and other leaders visited the booth.

As a key power source, high-performance battery technology will become the core force to promote the development of low-altitude aircraft. This time, CALB exhibited the "top current high energy - Super flight battery" flight special battery, which is planned to be listed in 2026. In terms of battery performance, it uses solid-liquid mixed electrolyte, the limit temperature tolerance can reach 200℃, and the energy density is as high as 350Wh/kg. While maintaining high energy density, it supports 10C+ continuous discharge to meet the adaptability of the flying car throughout the range. In the battery structure, the use of the original integration technology, "top flow" structural design, so that the structural impedance is reduced by 50%, reduce the temperature rise in the process of high power discharge, to achieve better and more convenient flight passability.

This high energy flight battery supports pure electric and hybrid models, suitable for multi-rotor, composite wing, vector wing routes. It can provide enough power for 8 tons of eVTOL and support 3,000 kilometers in hybrid mode.

"High energy" helps low-altitude layout

In order to achieve the continuous improvement of lightweight and safety performance, CALB always adheres to safety as the basis, emphasizes the leadership of innovation, and continues to increase investment in research and development. On October 24, 2022, Xiaopeng Huitian X3 test vehicle, the world's first electric hanging flying car, successfully made its first flight. The car is equipped with a 9-series high-nickel/silicon system battery developed by CALB for low-altitude travel. In July this year, Xiaopeng Hui Tianfei car power battery pack fell test, CALB "medium and high power battery pack" fell from a height of 15.2 meters without any buffer protection, and the battery pack did not smoke or fire in the static 24 hours, and the safety was highly recognized by customers.
